Apple Cider Donuts

Buttermilk biscuit mix is flavored with nutmeg and apple cider in a donut that's impossible to resist.

Apple cider, cold

Cinnamon, ground

  1. Heat oil in fryer to 350°F.
  2. Mix apple cider, biscuit mix, cinnamon and nutmeg in mixing bowl according to package directions until soft dough forms. Do not overmix.
  3. Place dough on lightly floured bench; roll dough 3/4-inch thick (use biscuit rails to assist in rolling out to correct size).
  4. Cut dough using 3-inch doughnut cutter. Repeat process using dough from donut centers.
  5. Drop portioned donuts into preheated oil, and fry 2-3 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through, turning as necessary.
  6. Drain on wire rack. Cool slightly before serving.

  • Centers of donuts can be placed back into unportioned dough or can be fried as mini donut holes. Toss in cinnamon/sugar blend (14 oz /2 cups sugar to 1 oz /3 Tbsp cinnamon), or dip in vanilla icing. Note nutritional information will change.
